MLB Teams Issued Warning as Chiefs Patrick Mahomes Demands Big From Kansas City Royals

The Kansas City baseball team’s minority stake owner added, “And if I can maybe go out to a spring training, I’m not opposed to that.” Turns out, neither is the Royals’ general manager, JJ Picollo, who expressed, “We’d love to have him come down.Best porn XXX. Problem is, when we’re in spring training, he’s out celebrating Super Bowls.” But could it be that this year, the Royals may be celebrating World Series glory of their own? It’s no secret that Patrick Mahomes could’ve very well joined the MLB instead of the NFL. But even though he realized that becoming one of the most successful young football players was his calling, baseball is still a huge part of his being. The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback was a big fan of the Mets growing up, thanks to his dad Pat Mahomes’ short tenure with the franchise. But as a minority stake owner of the Royals since 2020, it’s safe to say Mahomes roots for the Royals now. And just as he has huge ambitions for himself and the Chiefs this season, so does he for the Royals! The three-time Super Bowl winner appeared on the July 3 episode of the Riggle’s Picks podcast. Evidently, the interaction was recorded before the Chiefs’ mini-camp last month because there’s little chance that Mahomes would ditch family time to make podcast appearances. That said, during the conversation, he and host Rob Riggle were beyond happy about the Royals’ performance this season. “Hey, by the way, the Royals are looking good. I’m stoked,” said Riggle. I got here right after they kind of went on that run where they won the World Series and won those championships.” The Chiefs drafted their starting quarterback in 2017, and just 2 years before that, in 2015, the Royals won their second World Series title. Having made it to the playoffs even in 2014, those couple of seasons were remarkable for The Crowns. They won the AL Pennant in both those seasons but lost the World Series in 2014. He said, “I haven’t got to see playoff baseball and the K, so let’s get that thing going this year.” And why wouldn’t he be optimistic? Since 2016, the Royals haven’t had a winning record. But so far in 2024, they’re 48-40 and occupy the third spot in the American League Central Division.  For a team to have a fighting chance to make the playoffs, they should ideally have a winning record. That would mean the Royals would like to have at least 82 wins in the regular season. However, for the past few seasons, they’ve had an average of about 56 wins. Considering this, there’s no doubt it’ll be difficult for them to win 25 or so games more than they have in recent times. It’s time to win now. Being able to do that and talk with them and get what their focuses are — trying to get back to winning baseball.” Coming off one of the worst seasons in franchise history (56-106), it’s clear the Royals and Patrick Mahomes are on the same page. Much to Mahomes’ delight, his tea showed their grit in a June 8 game against the Mariners. The Boys In Blue were trailing 8-0 in the fourth, but Bobby Witt Jr tied the game with a triple in the ninth inning and scored on Nelson Velázquez’s fielder’s choice to give his team a 10-9 victory in the most spectacular comeback possible. An ecstatic Patrick Mahomes immediately took to X to laud the players and wrote, “The boys got heart!!!!! @Royals.” As the Chiefs quarterback keeps his eye on the ballpark, looking out for his team, he’s also on a European vacation with his family. And there, he’s going to support another one of the teams he’s a part owner of. After finishing the preseason OTAs and mandatory mini-camps with the Chiefs, Patrick Mahomes flew off with his family for a month-long European vacation. On the Riggle’s Picks podcast, he revealed, “[This] trip was planned right before COVID, and then I had back-to-back kids. So, I haven’t got to get back over there, and now it’s the time to go.” ADVERTISEMENT Article continues below this ad After visits to Portugal and Spain, the Mahomes clan also touched down in Switzerland. Brittany shared some cozy snaps with Patrick and the children from their visit to the Land of Milk and Honey on Instagram. After their Swiss escapades, they’re now in jolly ole’ England! That’s where he’s set to make more sporting appearances. Being the sporting family they are, Patrick Mahomes revealed, “We’re gonna bounce around. I’m gonna go to Wimbledon; I’m gonna go to the British Grand Prix. So, it’s gonna be really cool to experience some of those things.” With tennis’ third Grand Slam of the year ongoing in London, the quarterback will likely make an appearance in the next few days. And as for the team he owns, he’ll be heading down to Silverstone for Formula 1’s British GP.  In 2023, Mahomes was part of an ownership group that purchased a minority stake in the Alpine F1 team. While the Kansas City Royals had a torrid 2023 season, it looked like Alpine would have one in 2024. But since the start of the year, the French team has made good strides from being the slowest car on the grid to slotting itself in the midfield. Considering this turnaround, there’s no doubt Mahomes would enjoy watching Alpine make even more progress in Silverstone.
